Here are some guys who are doing PhD research on using multi-touch screens. They are using Google Earth and Warcraft III to demonstrate use and techniques of multi-touch and voice recognition. I don't find this bit of 'research' to be very interesting. I mean, these guys are taking someone else's technology and translating commands into a different technology. I suppose it does show basic techniques for usage.
