Really Good Online Television Series

I don't have cable, but the pull of moving pictures still runs deep. So I have been forced to crawl through the bowels of the internet watching all sorts of videos. I tend to prefer a good series since it means that I don't have to do so much looking around for new content. Unfortunately, the really good stuff is pretty scattered around. This is a collection of the really great online television series that I have found.

Actual Alien Control is a 'One Off'. The show was a one-timer with Channel 101 and did not make it past the pilot phase. That having been said - It's awesome. The cartoon is about a pair of roommates who work as freelance alien wranglers. The link below goes to a youtube channel showing the creators other works.

Brilliant! This a another one time show from Atom Films. The name is very suggestive and correctly suggestive so I will not bore you. In the pilot episode Baxter Smalls visits with the Vikings. The show also has a website which is entertaining. The Atom Films website made it appear as though the show was going to be on Comedy Central, perhaps that has happened. If not, it should happen.

Gemberling, a computer programmer, is sucked into the internet in this series. Once inside the internet, Gemberling is challenged by monsters big and small. This is probably the first online tv show that really got me hooked. I thought the concept was genius and it was a treat to watch from beginning to end.

Hellholes is a great series from Efram Potelle and Kyle Rankin published by Atom Films. The show is about a guy who rents a trailer which turns out to be a portal to hell. The series is short, but definitely packs an entertaining punch.

In my opinion, The Legend of Neil should be one of the most talked about moving images of all time. The truth, however, is slightly different. The Legend of Neil is about a guy who is transported into the Nintendo game 'Zelda' after a session of auto erotic asphyxiation. Neil is basically characterised as a slacker who likes to drink. He becomes trapped in the game after getting drunk and ends up having to fight his way out. His hobby is playing video games, just like other people enjoy playing partypoker or watching films. After getting sucked into the game, he finds himself hungover, and stuck, and the hilarity stems from there. If you can set up a better plot for a show, you should be in Hollywood.

I was never really sure why I liked 'The Curious Happenings About George Warrior'. None-the-less, I found it pretty entertaining. The show is about a luchadore who has fallen under a strange form of hypnosis. His affliction? When he sees pencils he starts killing. Strange, but fun.

Yacht Rock is a series which played on Channel 101 between 2005 and 2008. Basically, the show tells the stories behind the stories of the big light rock bands of the 70's and 80's. There is a little bit of truth to the stories and a whole lot of hilarious.
