Magnetic Loops in Solar Hotspot

Here's a neat image of the arcing magnetic loops of an active solar hotspot on the surface of the Sun. The image was taken by NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory between July 6th and July 12th, 2010. Small solar flares were also associated with the event. For sometime now, the sun has been in a prolonged and deep solar minimum. The solar cycle generally follows an 11 year activity cycle, so perhaps this solar event means that the minimum is coming to an end?
