The Asteroid 24 Themis

NASA scientists studying an asteroid called 24 Themis found the signature of water ice coating its exterior. The signature was detected through spectral analysis, aka: examining the light reflecting from the rock and analyzing for the chemicals present. 24 Themis, at 100 miles wide, is one of the larger asteroids between Mars and Jupiter. It is thought that the ice is replenished from a reservoir of ice within the rock. The scientists also noted the signatures of organic molecules on the rocks.
