ACEIZE Tracking the current state of Science and Technology

Litracon™ is a semi-transparent concrete manufactured by a Hungarian company. Each block of Litracon contains many optical fibers, which run across the length of the blocks. These optical fibers allow light to pass through the blocks. The pictures of the Litracon walls make it appear sort of like a window with a shade drawn over it.

It's not for the everyday home repair, though. For a 25mm (@ 1 in) x 1 square meter piece it runs about 845 Euro. Blocks with a thickness up to 200mm (@ 8 in) can be purchased.
