Virgin Galactic Borealis Flights

Features: Current EventsCritical Path Innovation: Private Space Travel, Groups and InstitutionsInstitutions: Virgin Galactic

Virgin Galactic will be partnering with the Swedish company, Spaceport to launch flights from an airport in Kiruna, Sweden. These flights will be taking off from a few miles north of the Arctic circle. The really neat thing is that these sub-orbital flights will be flying through the Aurora Borealis (ie Northern Lights). It should prove to be a very scenic, if not short flight. Flights aboard a Virgin Galactic ship will last about 2 hours and include about 5 minutes of zero-g flight.
